Hey everyone,
Well, I figured it might be time that I introduced myself.
My name is Kenneth Spangler and I am the instigator behind the start of this message board. I guess whether or not it succeeds will depend on how willing I am to promote and push it!
I have been doing genealogy research on my maternal side since about November of 2000. I've been fortunate to be able to hook up with some very nice folks on the internet and have met several new cousins along the way. It's been a very interesting journey!
In April of 2005 I decided to start a web site to give others access to the research I had accumulated. It's not taken off as nicely as I thought it might but I have been able to meet a few new cousins because of the site. In the last month it seems that it is finally starting to get noticed and that is a good thing.
I started this message board to give everyone the opportunity to meet all the wonderful people that I have been able to meet in the last 7 years. I have met several new cousins and I notice that a couple of them have signed up already. I am hoping to get a couple of the non-family members who have helped me to join up and let everyone have an opportunity to thank them for all of their wonderful contributions!
More about me! Hmmm!!!! Well, I live in Paris, Texas. I am married to the greatest woman in the world. Trina and I have been married for 18 years. I have 3 wonderful children; a son who graduates this year and will be going into the Marines in July. A daughter who is a freshman in high school and another daughter who is in 7 grade this year. I have three sisters and two brothers. My mother lives right next door to me! My father, David I. Spangler, passed away in April of 2000 and I do miss him very much!
Well, that is all for now. If you have any questions for me just give me a holler!
Thanks everyone,
Ken
